Mr. Buchanan has over 25 years of experience in treasury, finance, capital markets, and risk management, including 15 years in Barbados. He serves as President and Chief Financial Officer of Cidel Bank & Trust, a global private bank, where he is responsible for financial strategy, capital management, and risk oversight.

Prior to joining Cidel, Mr. Buchanan was Senior Director and Treasurer at Yamana Gold Inc., where he participated in capital markets transactions, including public debt and equity issuances. He previously held senior finance and treasury roles at Barrick International (Barbados) Corp., a subsidiary of Barrick Gold Corporation, with responsibility for treasury operations and commodity risk management.

Mr. Buchanan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University (Canada) and is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in Canada, a Certified Public Accountant (USA), and a CFA Charterholder.

Gayle Hutchinson is the General Manager of Trident Corporate Services (Barbados) Limited, a licensed Corporate and Trust Services Provider, and has been with the firm since 1994. She has many years of training, practical experience and knowledge of corporate services in Barbados. She was the head of the Corporate Team for a number of years before her appointment to the role of General Manager in 2021.

Gayle holds STEP Certificates in International Trust Management and Trust Creation Law & Practice. She is also a Chartered Director.

Scott has been with USA Risk Group since January 2023 and holds the position of Vice President. He assists in managing the team in Barbados and oversees a portfolio of captive accounts for U.S., Canadian and Latin American clients.

In this role, Scott handles various captive management tasks ranging from the incorporation and licensing of new captives, to overseeing a team of account managers to ensure timely preparation of financial statements and the operational administration of each client’s captive, as well as reporting results to shareholders and statutory agencies.

Additional responsibilities include growth of company by sourcing new business opportunities.

Scott is an avid sports fan, and is very active playing golf, tennis, squash, and more recently, padel.
