Marlon E. Yarde has been with the Barbados Stock Exchange Inc (BSE) and its subsidiary, the Barbados Central Securities Depository Inc. (BCSDI) since November 1, 2003. He currently holds the position of Managing Director of the BSE and the BCSDI. Mr. Yarde, an accountant by profession, became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados in October 2006 and a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants Association of Canada in June 2009.

Joanna M. Austin is a Senior Associate at Fraser Law, Attorneys-at-Law.
Joanna advises local and international clients on corporate and commercial advisory matters including corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, insurance, regulation and compliance, banking and finance, capital markets, securities and environmental social governance matters.

Joanna served as secretary of BIBA for the period 2022-2023.

Dionne Knight is currently the Director, Actuarial Analysis and Reporting Controls at Manulife Re Barbados. She holds a BSc (Hons.) in Actuarial Science and Statistics from the University of Western Ontario.
Dionne worked originally for Manulife from 2003-2008 in the P&C division before moving to Sagicor Life Inc. where she worked in various areas including pricing, valuations, and pensions. She returned to Manulife in 2019, working in the life reinsurance division.

Dionne joined the BIBA Board as a Director in the 2022-2023 Administrative year.

Sabrina Maynard is partner of the law firm of Clarke Gittens Farmer with over 12 years’ experience and a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience. Her professional experience involves advising local and international clients on a diverse range of matters including taxation, reorganisations, capital markets, securitisation, mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcy, and insolvency and pensions. She currently sits on the Board of directors of BIBA as of June 29^th, 2022.

Sharalee Gittens is a Barbados Attorney-at-Law with 10+ years of professional experience in corporate and commercial law. Having spent the majority of her legal career in private practise, she has for the last 2 years acted as in-house counsel for the Scotiabank Barbados group which spans banking, insurance and securities.  Sharalee is currently the Secretary of the BIBA Board of Directors.

Scott has been with USA Risk Group since January 2023 and holds the position of Vice President. He assists in managing the team in Barbados and oversees a portfolio of captive accounts for U.S., Canadian and Latin American clients.

In this role, Scott handles various captive management tasks ranging from the incorporation and licensing of new captives, to overseeing a team of account managers to ensure timely preparation of financial statements and the operational administration of each client’s captive, as well as reporting results to shareholders and statutory agencies.

Additional responsibilities include growth of company by sourcing new business opportunities.

Scott is an avid sports fan, and is very active playing golf, tennis, squash, and more recently, padel.

Gayle Hutchinson is the General Manager of Trident Corporate Services (Barbados) Limited, a licensed Corporate and Trust Services Provider, and has been with the firm since 1994. She has many years of training, practical experience and knowledge of corporate services in Barbados. She was the head of the Corporate Team for a number of years before her appointment to the role of General Manager in 2021.

Gayle holds STEP Certificates in International Trust Management and Trust Creation Law & Practice. She is also a Chartered Director.

Glenna Smith is Managing Director of Smith Compliance Consulting (SCC) Inc. in Barbados, a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) a director of the Caribbean Regional Compliance Association, and former President of the Barbados Association of Compliance Professionals. Glenna has gained wide and in-depth knowledge in financial crime, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance during 30 years in financial services.  She sits on the Board of Directors of BIBA and is the Chair of their Banking and Wealth Management Committee.

Lana Fingall is the Senior Manager and Team Lead for the Scotiabank Offshore Banking Unit in Barbados. In this role, Lana and her team manage the International Business portfolio for Scotiabank Barbados.  A career Banker with over 30 years of Banking experience she has acquired a wealth of knowledge and expertise in areas such as Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Private Banking and International Banking. 

Lana is committed to delivering premium service levels and assisting clients in achieving their financial goals. She has also served on various committees and Boards over the years with a particular focus on the Youth and community.

Stephen Robinson is the Vice President of Pensions at Sagicor Life Inc and has worked with clients in Barbados, Belize, the Dutch Caribbean, and the Eastern Caribbean. Stephen has presented on a wide range of Pensions topics to industry groups, clients, and the general public and he is passionate about empowering people to make sound financial decisions. He currently sits on the Board of directors as of June 29, 2022.

Dwane Pitcairn is responsible for the management of a diverse portfolio of international single parent and group captive insurance companies. He joined Marsh in 2007 and was appointed to his current position in 2022. Marsh is a leading captive manager in Barbados providing captive management services to a variety of single parent, group and segregated cell captives.

Nikita Gibson is the Vice President of Clarity Life Insurance Ltd.  and a Partner at Castalia Consulting Inc, companies registered in Barbados. Her experience ranges in the financial and insurance industries where she manages the expectations of shareholders, directors, and clients. Nikita is currently on the Board of Directors with BIBA and is the Chair of its Business Development Committee.
