BIBA’s July 1 webinar brings Cambridge researcher and AI governance expert Ray Eitel-Porter to our membership for a practical, hour-long session on what AI governance means in practice and how organisations can build a solid foundation — regardless of size or sector.

The session will cover:

• Building accountability structures and rolling out training
• Constructing an AI inventory
• Identifying and assessing AI-related risks

About the Speaker

Ray Eitel-Porter is the bestselling author of Governing the Machine: How to Navigate the Risks of AI and Unlock Its True Potential (Bloomsbury, October 2025). He serves as Senior Research Associate for Responsible AI at the Intellectual Forum, Jesus College, Cambridge, and has led AI research collaborations with Stanford University, MIT, The Alan Turing Institute, and the Institute for AI Ethics at Oxford University.

Ray was formerly Accenture’s global lead for Responsible AI, where he designed the firm’s AI compliance programme and advised on principles, policy, governance, risk assessment, and supporting technologies.
