The Bahamas govenrment has announced the signing of two Tax Information Exchange Agreements with Guernsey and Aruba, bringing the total number of such agreements the territory has concluded to 27.
The agreements were signed by the Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Brent Symonette, on behalf of the Bahamas, and by Guernsey Chief Minister, Lyndon Trott, and Mike Eric de Meza, the Aruban Minister for Finance.
Welcoming the signing, the Bahamas government noted that it is the first tax information exchange agreement that has been signed with another Caribbean territory, and the first such agreement with a UK Crown Dependency.
